Reception 4th-7th July SOTW-Eloise

Monday 4th July-Friday 7th July 2016

On Monday five tiny caterpillars arrived in the post, we decided to call them Callie, Rose, Daisy, Poppy and Joe Carrot. To find out more about our caterpillars we read ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eris Carle and learnt about the life cycle of a butterfly.

In maths we focused on the days of the week matching up the correct day with what they Very Hungry Caterpillar ate. In literacy we created our own version of the story called ‘The Very Greedy Elephant’. We also received a message from the caterpillars asking us to make our own Caterpillar Kebabs using their favourite fruits.

Star of the Week

This week’s Star of the Week is Eloise. Eloise is always such a kind and caring friend in our class but has taken extra care of the new reception children this week.
