Year 5 and 6 Enjoy Sci-Tech Experience

Lesson: Science

On Tuesday, Year 5 and 6 attended the Sci-Tech science laboratory at Daresbury as part of their learning on space, the planets and the solar system. Whilst there, children spent time in the planetarium – looking at constellations, stars and planets.  Also, they had the opportunity to make their own solar systems, using boards and plasticine, before going on to make comets using a mixture of dry ice, Worcester Sauce, sand and water. Children enjoyed the experience and the learning that they engaged in will benefit them ahead of future lessons in school over the coming weeks.
