Reception 8th-12th February Star of the Week-Lennon

8th-12th February

In the last week of half term we have been learning about Chinese New Year, Pancake Day and Valentine’s Day. We focused on Chinese New Year at the beginning of the week finding out that we were either born in the Year of the Tiger or the Rabbit. We role played in our own Chinese restaurant and researched what it is like to live and go to school in China. We practised the Dragon Dance, made lanterns and tried Chinese Food.

We enjoyed learning about why we celebrate Pancake Day and wrote about our favourite pancake toppings, we then had lots of fun adding toppings to our pancakes and eating them.

Star of the Week

This week’s Star of the Week is Lennon. Lennon always shows enthusiasm for new tasks. Well Done Lennon!

Have a lovely half term break.
